Bboying and its Growing Popularity

Street Dances are a blend of specifically the hip hop dancing, break dance, popping, locking, and funk dance styles including various stunts. The dance floor provided will be circular and in open. The most popular TV program Dance Premier League features bboy. Street dance in India so far has seen a lot of talent coming from various colleges. Various new styles, some of them pretty weird were seen in the last few months. However, everyone still loved the dance, and that Dance Premier League is hosting their programme at a even bigger level.

Rules and Guidelines of bboying
  1. Team size: there should be a minimum of 5 people in the team and a max of 12
  2. During the performance, number of performers on stage at a time, should be at least 5 and maximum 10.
  3. The performance should vary from a minimum of 4 min to 7 minutes.
  4. Teams can dance to recorded music in any language, however, live music isn't allowed.
  5. Props are allowed during the performance
  6. As usual, the judges decision will be final in case of any dispute.
  7. The stage will be in the open, after all it is a street dance, probably circular in shape.
A useful tip: Wear comfortable clothes, when participating in the event. Also, shoes will be a better choice than sandals, etc., since then you can jump around and do some fancy footwork easily. The good thing about this event is that it is impromptu. You can improvise on the spot, so you don't require special preparation. Just get on the dance floor, and try out various moves.

Bboy has gained popularity all accross the globe, be it down and under or up and above.
